Walking Through the Hurt

Has your spouse or boyfriend or girlfriend recently broken up with you? Are you feeling as though you will never find someone to be with again AND you don't want to go back to the dating scene? Do you constantly think about him or her?

You probably realize all of this sadness is normal. Do you also recognize that sitting at home hoping the phone will ring, checking your email, and waiting for that text message isn't helping?

Here are some steps that you can take to recover...EVEN when you don't feel like it.

  • Take a hike, go bike riding.

  • Organize that pile of papers you have been intending to get to.

  • Get together with friends.

  • Start focusing on areas of your life that are working.

  • Make a list of gratitudes at the end of the day.
